At LSCC, we believe that an essential part of being a truly fruitful member of the Body of Christ, His Church, is to be not only hearers, but doers of the word (James 1:22, Matthew 7:21). In serving and giving to those in need, we seek to emulate and worship our Lord. Below are some of the many opportunities we have at LSCC to serve. Please contact us if you would like to volunteer in any of these areas!
Missions: We support missionaries in the Czech Republic, Mexico, Spain, Peru, and Uganda, and encourage you to pray for and write to these families. We regularly offer opportunities to go and serve alongside these missionaries with church mission trips for youth and adults.
U-Turn for Christ: The fellowship also supports the Colorado Springs based U-Turn For Christ; a program that offers freedom through Jesus Christ from the bonds of drugs, alcohol, and other addictions. This program provides many opportunities to serve and give for our fellowship.
Children’s and Youth Ministry: Sunday school teachers, youth group volunteers, and nursery workers are critical to the church as they encourage tomorrow’s leaders to be devoted to Christ.
Facilities: Those who clean the church building, operate audio-visual systems, and assist with other facility-related maintenance projects and needs help ensure people have a warm, welcoming, well-functioning place to gather and worship.
Hospitality: Serving in the kitchen on Sunday mornings, providing a meal for a family in need, and offering a friendly greeting to those who come through the doors are some of the practical ways those in our fellowship share Christ’s love with others.
Preschool: Royal Gorge Christian School, hosted by Living Stone Calvary Chapel, is a Colorado State licensed preschool for children 3 to 5 years old. Valuable staff and volunteers promote a caring, safe, Christ-centered educational environment for young children.
